A New Leaf
Working at home in a country where you don’t speak much of the language can be isolating at times. So, usually I try and get out of the house at least once a day. Usually that means going to one of the 3 Starbucks that are within a mile of our place. They are all about 1 mile away and I usually walk to them.

You could be this dood hauling all this crap up the mountain (Huangshan). These guys really struggle along, and they are quite fit. The crazy part is that they have cable cars that go up the mountain. You’d think it would be just as cheap to haul stuff up in empty cable cars at the end of the day or something. But i guess these guys make less than operating cables cars. Just Crazy.

Everybody Yang Mei Tonight
Yup, that’s yang mei chilling in my living room in front of the TV. Just waiting to be eaten by me. This is a great summer fruit that has started to show up in Shanghai over the last few weeks. Its about the size of a large grape and is a bit tart. Inside is a seed sort of like a cherry seed. Just look out for the little larvae that sometimes are inside. (Or eat em’ for extra protein)
